タイガーを飼うな

(James 1:13-15) When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; (14) but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. (15) Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
(ヤコブ 1:13-15) だれでも誘惑に会ったとき、神によって誘惑された、と言ってはいけません。神は悪に誘惑されることのない方であり、ご自分でだれを誘惑なさることもありません。(14)人はそれぞれ自分の欲に引かれ、おびき寄せられて、誘惑されるのです。(15)欲がはらむと罪を生み、罪が熟すると死を生みます。

Samson – A Champion Loses His Way  サムソン－自分を失ったチャンピオン

(Judges 14:1-2) Samson went down to Timnah and saw there a young Philistine woman.(2)When he returned, he said to his father and mother, “I have seen a Philistine woman in Timnah; now get her for me as my wife.”
(士師記 14:1-2)サムソンはティムナに下って行ったとき、ペリシテ人の娘でティムナにいるひとりの女を見た。(2)彼は帰ったとき、父と母に告げて言った。「私はティムナで、ある女を見ました。ペリシテ人の娘です。今、あの女をめとって、私の妻にしてください。」 

(Judges 15:7) Samson said to them, “Since you’ve acted like this, I won’t stop until I get my revenge on you.”
(士師記 15:7) すると、サムソンは彼らに言った。「あなたがたがこういうことをするなら、私は必ずあなたがたに復讐する。そのあとで、私は手を引こう。」

(Judges 16:1) One day Samson went to Gaza, where he saw a prostitute. He went in to spend the night with her.
(士師記 16:1)サムソンは、ガザへ行ったとき、そこでひとりの遊女を見つけ、彼女のところにはいった。

(Judges 16:20-21) Then she called, “Samson, the Philistines are upon you!” He awoke from his sleep and thought, “I’ll go out as before and shake myself free.” But he did not know that the LORD had left him. (21) Then the Philistines seized him, gouged out his eyes and took him down to Gaza. Binding him with bronze shackles, they set him to grinding in the prison.
(士師記 16:20-21) 彼女が、「サムソン。ペリシテ人があなたを襲ってきます。」と言ったとき、サムソンは眠りからさめて、「今度も前のように出て行って、からだをひとゆすりしてやろう。」と言った。彼は主が自分から去られたことを知らなかった。(21)そこで、ペリシテ人は彼をつかまえて、その目をえぐり出し、彼をガザに引き立てて行って、青銅の足かせをかけて、彼をつないだ。こうしてサムソンは牢の中で臼をひいていた。 

Samson – A Champion Rises up Again　サムソン－再び立ち上がったチャンピオン

(Judges 16:22) But the hair on his head began to grow again after it had been shaved.
(士師記 16:22) しかし、サムソンの頭の毛はそり落とされてから、また伸び始めた。

(Judges 16:28) Then Samson prayed to the LORD, “O Sovereign LORD, remember me. O God, please strengthen me just once more, and let me with one blow get revenge on the Philistines for my two eyes.”
(士師記 16:28) サムソンは主に呼ばわって言った。「神、主よ。どうぞ、私を御心に留めてください。ああ、神よ。どうぞ、この一時でも、私を強めてください。私の二つの目のために、もう一度ペリシテ人に復讐したいのです。」

1.Get Rid of the Tigers in our lives 私たちの生活からタイガーを追い出す

(Psalm 124:7) ‘We have escaped like a bird out of the fowler’s snare; the snare has been broken, and we have escaped.’
(詩篇 124:7)私たちは仕掛けられたわなから鳥のように助け出された。わなは破られ、私たちは助け出された。

2.Don’t let new tigers in　新しいタイガーを飼わない

(1 Corinthians 10:13) No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
(1コリント 10:13) あなたがたを襲った試練で、人間として耐えられないようなものはなかったはずです。神は真実な方です。あなたがたを耐えられないような試練に遭わせることはなさらず、試練と共に、それに耐えられるよう、逃れる道をも備えていてくださいます。

1.Are you trying to live with ‘tigers’ in your house?　
      あなたは、あなたの内で「タイガー」を飼おうとしていませんか？

2.Are you resisting the temptation to bringing in ‘baby tigers’?　
      「赤ちゃん（小さな）タイガー」を飼いたいという誘惑に打ち勝とうとしていますか？
